What does it look like neither beautiful nor ugly city? What does it look like neither fancy nor cheap building? Is it possible to make a city where nobody hate nor like? Compared to European cities, scenery in Los An-geles is less consistent. During world war ll time, British navy used ”Mountbatten pink” to their ships, believing the color would render his ships difficult to see during dawn and dusk. However, they found out the color was rather obvious and worst. Although this Mountbatten pink failed in the navy, urban design needs something like those existence, sometimes obvious, sometimes merge to the city. In this thesis, I will explore the pos-sibility of making city where using neutral colors and shapes and materials, so nobody is able to find complains and compliments. (Collectivism City)
